Leitrim Lodge – Game of Thrones Location

Leitrim Lodge – The Mourne Way leads a gentle walk through the Mountains of Mourne. On Google seek out Leitrim Lodge Car Park – in Co. Down (not down south!) . This leads to a path that crosses the Skanky River (which feeds into the River Bann and on to the Atlantic).

If you walk far enough you will see Pierce’s Castle and have a gentle time hill walking or mountain walking through the Irish Rocky Mountain – part of the Mourne Mountain Way. If you are tempted by a peaceful hill walk – then do consider the Leitrim Lodge Mourne walk and have some amazing views of the Mourne Way Mountains. The site is also a known location for the filming of Game Of Thrones!
