Dark and Stormy Cocktail at The Spaniard Belfast

Dark and Stormy Cocktail is the Unofficial National Drink of Bermuda and the sailing community. We get to make and taste it at The Spaniard Belfast. It is a mix of Dark Rum, Fresh Lime and Ginger beer – it tastes lovely! ???? ????????????

History has it that the Dark and Stormy Cocktail was created by an ex sailor called Gosling who had settled on Bermuda and started to make Dark Rum. At some point Ginger Beer was mixed with it – giving us the drink we know today! Ginger beer was a tonic that sailors took to battle sea sickness.
