Las Vegas is located in the state of Nevada in the United States of America, bordered to the east by Utah, to the southeast by Arizona, and to the west by California. The city is located at an altitude of 613 meters above sea level and is considered the only city in the west of the country that was founded in the 20th century.

Las Vegas started as a railway station, and after that it developed and became one of the most luxurious cities in the world, attracting millions of tourists every year, it is famous worldwide for its resorts, shopping malls, restaurants, and more.

One of the things that distinguish Las Vegas from other cities in the legislation on entertainment and gambling facilities, as it is one of the most famous cities in America and the world in gambling, so the state of Nevada is called the state of silver, as it relies on its revenues from tourism and recreational facilities and the silver and gold industry.

Las Vegas is located in a desert area, surrounded by a series of mountains from all directions, and green spaces inside the city like trees that are spread throughout the city, and there are a group of water resources that form part of the geographical space.

The Strip

The Strip is one of the famous places to visit in Las Vegas, it is 2.5 miles long and it goes from the northeast to the southwest of the city. The Strip is full of many entertainment places to visit, such as luxury hotel rooms, performance places, restaurants, casinos, and cafes.

It is a perfect thing to do, walking along the Strip and discovering the sights located there and it is more perfect and impressive at night. The Strip runs from the Mandalay Bay Hotel to Treasure Island Hotel.

The Stratosphere Tower is a well-known spot in Las Vegas, it is about 1149 feet, and from the top of the tower, you will see a beautiful view that you will love.Where you are at the place you will find many things to do, like Sky Jump, X Scream, Big Shot, and Insanity. 

There are also indoor and outdoor decks with a magnificent view of the city and if you want to have a great meal then the Top of the World Restaurant is a great choice. The Stratosphere Tower is considered the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States of America.

Madame Tussaud’s

Madame Tussaud’s is a popular museum not only in Las Vegas but in many other countries all over the world, it is the place where you can see your favorite stars that are preserved in wax. You will see many figures such as Elvis, Beyonce, Bradley Cooper, Miley Cyrus, and much more than that, and the museum only focuses on the people who are connected with Las Vegas.

High Roller Ferris wheel

The High Roller Ferris wheel is considered the largest observation wheel in the world not only in the United States of America, as it is 550 feet high and its rotation takes about 30 minutes. When the rotation reaches the top of the wheel you will see a spectacular view of the Strip and other places, especially at night. 

The cabin in the wheel can hold 40 people and you will find the High Roller Ferris wheel at the end of Linq Lane. 

Luxor Hotel

On the southwest side of Las Vegas, you will see the grandeur of the ancient Egyptian civilization through the Luxor Hotel, distinguished by its pyramid shape and the Sphinx next to it. Inside there you will find restaurants and shopping centers like many other resorts in Las Vegas.

From the things that you will find there is the Water World that explores the importance of H2O and the Discovery Lab which is full of tinker tools and many toys, and the Mystery Town that gives the children the chance to be detectives and show their skills to solve problems. 

The Summit is another interesting thing for kids to do there, which is a 70-foot tower that rises through every floor of the museum and it is safe to play.

The tour can take about three hours, where you will see many places like the Strip, Hoover Dam, the West Rim area of the Grand Canyon, and Lake Mead.

Caesar’s Palace and the Colosseum

The Caesar Palace was built in the image of the Roman Empire, it is one of the most luxurious hotels and casinos in Las Vegas which is located in the middle of the Strip. The palace is located on 30,000 square feet of restaurants, performance venues, bars, and gambling rooms.

The hotel also includes the Colosseum and many concerts are held in it like Celine Dion and Elton John concerts. And there are statues, white stone columns that give the place its charm and the beauty of Roman culture.

Las Vegas Natural History Museum

Las Vegas Natural History Museum is one of the best destinations for kids, where you can find science exhibits, animal models like giant whale figures hanging over the ceilings. There is a marine exhibit where you can watch the eels and baby sharks without the usual glass.

Also, you can see King Tut’s golden throne, and explore many other things inside there, besides seeing the ancient fossils and colorful collections of glow-in-the-dark minerals.

Paris Hotel and Eiffel Tower

 

Another famous resort in Las Vegas is located on the Strip, you will know it from the model of the Eiffel Tower and near it is the Paris Opera House and there you can have a great time. The Eiffel Tower is a great place to go to, where you can climb 46 stories and from the top, you will see a magnificent view of the city.

A story below you will find a restaurant, where you can have a nice meal with a beautiful view of the Strip and the dancing fountains of Bellagio.

It is the place where fast car fans should be going, it is located in Clark County 15 miles northeast of the Strip and on an area of 1,200 acres of the complex with many racing tracks.

There you can have the experience of driving a Lamborghini or Ferrari, can you believe that? They are available to drive them at high speed. It is also the place where NASCAR races are held and other racing events, and there are also restaurants for those who are staying overnight. 

Mandalay Bay and the Shark Reef Aquarium

Mandalay Bay Resort is another famous hotel in Las Vegas, it is located southwest of the Strip and next to the Luxor hotel. There is a popular thing there that will make you visit the place, which is the Shark Reef Aquarium and it is about 1,300,000 gallons tank full of fish, sharks, green sea turtles, and much more.

When you are there you can walk through the Shark Tunnel and see about 100 sharks from 15 different species and also more than 2000 animals.

The Mob Museum

It is also called the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, it is a wonderful and unique museum that is located in a 1933 Neoclassical building that was formerly the US Post Office.

The museum was one of the locations for the famous Kefauver Committee hearings in 1950, which reveals truths about organized crimes in Las Vegas. Also, the museum tells the history of the Mob and that is through video clips and interactive displays.

Erupting Volcano and Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden 

They are located in the Mirage Hotel on the Strip, you will be easy to know it along with the other hotels in the same place and it is famous for the volcano located in front of the hotel and it erupts at regular intervals. If you are walking there at night, you will see explosions out of the volcano and glowing red fire that is great and you will see them from outside the hotel.

If you go into the hotel you will find the Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, where you will be able to see many kinds of animals like white lions and tigers, and also dolphins in a 2.5 million gallon pool.

Bellagio Resort and Fountain Show

Another large complex in Las Vegas is the Bellagio Resort, with many attractions located in it such as Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts, a spa, and lovely restaurants.

When you are in front of the Bellagio, you will find the dancing fountain performing a magnificent show of water set to music and it is one of the famous free attractions in the city.
