Las Vegas is located in Nevada, in the United States of America. It borders Utah on the east, Arizona on the southeast, and California on the west. The city is 613 metres above sea level. It is considered the only city in the country’s west founded in the 20th century.
Las Vegas started as a railway station, and then it developed and became one of the most luxurious cities in the world, attracting millions of tourists every year. Its resorts, shopping malls, restaurants, and other attractions are famous worldwide.
One thing distinguishing Las Vegas from other cities is the entertainment and gambling facilities legislation. It is one of the most famous cities in America and the world for gambling. Because of this, Nevada is often called the state of silver; it relies on its revenues from tourism, recreational facilities, and the silver and gold industry.
Las Vegas is located in a desert, surrounded by mountains from all directions. Green spaces, such as trees, spread throughout the city. A group of water resources form part of the geographical space.
The state’s primary source of income is tourist facilities, and most of the state’s residents work in this field. Tourism services are provided at the highest level; most tourists are rich people looking for fun. The state is famous for its industrial activity, especially in Las Vegas and Renosparks, where there are factories for heavy machinery, engine parts, and food industries.
Las Vegas is famous for its many amusement nightclubs and casinos, which attract people from different regions of the world. We will get to know some of them in the coming part. January is considered the coldest month, so the average temperature is from 3 to 14 degrees, and July is the hottest month in Las Vegas. The temperature is between 20 to 40 degrees.
Things to do in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is one of the most famous cities in the United States of America for entertainment and spending quality time there. It revenues from hotels, parks, entertainment venues, and resorts.
One of the well-known attractions is the Stratosphere Tower, which is 350 metres high and the tallest in the country. There are also museums, such as the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. Besides museums, there are churches and shopping centres that attract many tourists.

The Strip is one of the most famous places in Las Vegas. It is 2.5 miles long and runs from the northeast to the southwest of the city. The Strip is full of many entertainment venues, such as luxury hotel rooms, performance venues, restaurants, casinos, and cafes.
One of the best things to do there is to walk along the Strip at night and discover the many sights there. The Strip runs from the Mandalay Bay Hotel to the Treasure Island Hotel, so many places exist to stop and learn.
2- Stratosphere Tower
The Stratosphere Tower is a well-known spot in Las Vegas. It is about 1149 feet tall, and from the top, you can see a beautiful view that you will definitely love. The Stratosphere Tower is considered the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States of America.
There are many things to do while you are visiting the tower. You can get on one of the thrill rides and feel the adrenaline rush. If you are up for a challenge, join Sky Jump and face your fear by jumping off the 108-floor Strat. There are also indoor and outdoor decks with a magnificent city view. The Top of the World Restaurant is an excellent choice if you want a good and fulfilling meal.
3- Madame Tussaud’s
Madame Tussaud’s is a famous museum in Las Vegas and many other countries worldwide. Inside the museum, you can see real-life wax figures of your favourite stars, such as Elvis, Beyonce, Bradley Cooper, Miley Cyrus, and many more.
4- High Roller Ferris wheel
The High Roller Ferris wheel is considered the largest observation wheel in the US and the world. It is 550 feet high, and its rotation takes about 30 minutes. When you ride it, and the rotation reaches the top, you can see a spectacular view of the Strip and Las Vegas, especially at night. One cabin can take 40 people, which is incredibly reassuring. You can find the High Roller Ferris wheel at the end of Linq Lane.
5- Luxor Hotel
On the southwest side of Las Vegas, you will find the grandeur of the ancient Egyptian civilization through the Luxor Hotel, distinguished by its pyramid shape and the Sphinx next to it. Inside the hotel, you will find restaurants and shopping centres like many other famous resorts in Las Vegas.
The most memorable thing in the Luxor Hotel is the beautiful lights emitted from the pyramid’s pinnacle. You can see these stunning lights from any high point in Las Vegas.
6- Fremont Street
One of the most exciting things to do in Vegas is to walk through the famous streets of Fremont. It is located in the old downtown and is full of many hotels, gambling halls, casinos, bars, luxury fashion boutiques, malls, museums, and even theatres. Most of the street is covered with LED lights that make you feel that they are lighting up the sky with different colours! There is not a dull moment in this place. You can have a great time watching street performances and entertainment shows in Fremont’s heart.
7- Discovery Children’s Museum
If you want something to entertain your children, the Discovery Children’s Museum is the perfect place. It is full of many activities for children. It is like a jungle gym where kids can burn off their energy while learning about the natural world.
One of the fascinating things you will find there is the Water World, which explores the importance of H2O. Two stops would pique the interest of your little ones. The first is the Discovery Lab, which is full of tinker tools and many toys that can help your kid explore what kind of maker they are! This learning environment can stimulate exploration, creativity, and collaboration through sculpting, painting, sewing, and many more activities.
The second stop is Solve It! It gives children the chance to show off their solving skills through this interactive exhibit. Archaeologists join the little ones in solving many mysteries that will blow their minds. They gather clues, examine pieces of evidence, and analyze DNA samples to come up with their own theories and conclusions about what may have gone down. It’s a great chance to help them with critical thinking and problem-solving.
Want to make them go WOW? The Summit is another great exhibit for kids to take on a challenge. The 70-foot tower has 12 different levels, each featuring different climbing structures and interactive science exhibits that would cater to the taste of every young mind. It is a completely safe place for kids to play. When they reach the top, they can view Downtown Las Vegas. It surely will be a nice memory for them!
8- Helicopter Rides to see Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon
If you don’t want to miss out on anything during your Las Vegas vacation, then you certainly wouldn’t miss out on the Helicopter Rides. While on your helicopter ride, you will have a magnificent view of the famous Grand Canyon. You will find many companies that provide these kinds of tours. These tours allow you to see the beautiful city of Las Vegas and the surrounding landscapes.
The tour can take about three hours, and you will see many places, such as the Strip, Hoover Dam, the West Rim area of the Grand Canyon, and Lake Mead.
9- Caesars Palace and the Colosseum
The construction of Caesars Palace was inspired by Roman architecture. It is one of the most luxurious hotels and has the most famous casinos in Las Vegas. Caesars Palace is located in the middle of the Strip, on a land of 30,000 square feet. The vast place has multiple restaurants, performance venues, bars, and gambling rooms.

10- Las Vegas Natural History Museum
Want your little ones to spend more time learning? The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is the best destination for just this! It contains many different exhibits and animal models, covering everything from dinosaurs and replica Egyptian artefacts to geology and marine life.
Marine exhibits allow kids to learn more about their favourite aquatic animals. During shark feeding hours, kids can also learn more about sharks—it’s a fascinating experience!
You should end your tour by checking out the ‘Treasures of Egypt’ exhibition, featuring 500 replicas, including King Tut‘s golden throne, shrine, and chariots. Both you and your little ones will enjoy exploring Ancient Egypt’s life.
The Las Vegas Natural History Museum has included a Geology exhibit where visitors can explore Nevada’s geological history and many fluorescent minerals that will blow their minds, regardless of their age!
11- Paris Hotel and Eiffel Tower
The theme here is Paris and everything French. The Paris Hotel is distinguished by a replica of the famed Eiffel Tower, where you can climb 46 stories and have a fantastic view of the city. The dazzling attraction offers a free, recurring light show every 30 minutes from sunset to midnight. Go there with your loved ones and enjoy!

12- Las Vegas Motor Speedway
This is the right place for fast car fans. It is located in Clark County 15 miles northeast of the Strip and on an area of 1,200 acres with many racing tracks. Many car models are available to drive at high speed. It is also where NASCAR races are held, and other racing events are held. If all the driving and thrills tire you out, you can grab a bite at the nearby restaurants.
13- Mandalay Bay and the Shark Reef Aquarium
Mandalay Bay Resort is another famous hotel in Las Vegas. It is located southwest of the Strip and next to the Luxor Hotel. One thing that distinguishes this hotel from its neighbours is the Shark Reef Aquarium. You can watch over 2,000 aquatic animals swimming and spending their time in the tanks. Different types of fish, sharks, endangered green sea turtles, rays, and many more exist.
The aquarium also features a shark tunnel where you can see about 100 sharks from 15 species and other aquatic animals like reptiles and invertebrates.
14- The Mob Museum
It is also officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. The unique museum is a 1933-Neoclassical building that housed the former Las Vegas Post Office and Courthouse.
The museum was one of the locations for the famous Kefauver Committee hearings in 1950, which revealed truths about organized crimes in Las Vegas. The museum also tells the Mob’s history through video clips and interactive displays.
15- Erupting Volcano and Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden
If you want to see something genuinely mesmerizing, head to Mirage Hotel. The hotel has a large fake volcano on the front lawn that erupts regularly at night. If you are walking there at night, you will see explosions out of the volcano and glowing red fire, which is an excellent view to gaze at.
If you go into the hotel, you will find Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, where you can see many kinds of animals, including white lions, tigers, and dolphins in a 2.5 million-gallon pool.
16- Bellagio Resort and Fountain Show
Another large complex in Las Vegas is the Bellagio Resort. It has many entertainment facilities, such as the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts and Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. The resort has many amenities, including a spa, a pool, shops, a fitness centre, and many more.
One of Bellagio’s landmarks is the Fountains of Bellagio. These dancing fountains will romance your senses, especially if you catch them during the sunset under Las Vegas’ lavender sky. We think it would be the perfect place to propose!
17- Big Bus Tours
Since Las Vegas is such a big city, a bus tour can help you discover the whole city. Big Bus Tours offers different routes, enabling you to see many different attractions in just one tour.
The bus has rooftop access, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the city. The tours are available all day long, and one tour takes about three hours. You can step off at any point and start exploring the city on foot.
